We invite teachers from all the four regions of Ecuador to submit a chapter to the e-book titled “Teaching English in Ecuador: sharing experiences and innovative practices.” The overall goal of this e-book is to give a comprehensive picture of the current landscape of teaching English methodologies in Ecuador across different educational settings, from elementary school to higher education, placing particular emphasis on innovative practices. We encourage chapters that describe previously unpublished theoretical or empirical work in the following areas: Innovative practices in teaching language skills; materials development, use, and evaluation; technology-enhanced teaching and learning.

About the organizer: Jardel dos Santos holds a BA in English and Portuguese language teaching from Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brasil, and a MSc. in English language teaching from Universidad Casa Grande, Ecuador. He is a professor in the Social Science and Education Department at Universidad Técnica Estatal de Quevedo. His research interests include teachers’ and students’ identities, information, and communication technologies (ICTs) applied to language learning, pedagogical innovation in language teaching, and teachers’ and students’ beliefs and emotions.

* For articles with a number of authors greater than 6, R$30.00 is added for each extra author. For example, for papers with 8 authors, the publishing fee is R$160.00.
